Dr. Weixiao Liu
Dr. Weixiao Liu is CEO of netElastic Systems. Weixiao brings more than 20 years of experience leading and managing organizations in the development of enterprise and carrier-grade software solutions.
Prior to joining netElastic, Weixiao was Director of Engineering at iDirect, where he was responsible for all software development and innovation that helped iDirect triple revenue to over $300 million. Prior to iDirect, Weixiao worked as a Senior Engineer at Thomson Silicon Components, leading their global research efforts.
Weixiao received a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Virginia and a Master’s degree in Physics from Miami University.
Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing
David Williams is Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing, where he is responsible for all company growth initiatives.
David brings over 20 years of executive experience in telecom and technology services. Prior to netElastic, he was President of a Managed Network and Security Services provider where he led his division to record growth, innovation, and a profitable sale to a larger carrier. David also helped build two startups from early stage to successful exits, energized and grew mature businesses, and has scaled companies organically and through successful M&A strategies.
David has a degree in computer science and business from California State University, Chico.
Vice President of Engineering
Hari Gollapolli is netElastic’s Vice President of Engineering, where he is responsible for all engineering efforts.
Prior to netElastic, Hari was the Director of Software Engineering at SnapRoute, where he helped develop the world’s first open source Network Operating system for white boxes, written completely from scratch using Golang. Before SnapRoute, Hari led the Software Development team at Ciena (Cyan), where he was responsible for developing metro ethernet network software used by multiple global carriers.
Prior to Ciena, Hari led the software teams at Open Clovis, which developed the industry’s first Open Source high availability software. Hari is also the architect behind Network Operating system for Voyager platform, designed by Facebook as part of the Telecom Infrastructure Project (TIP).
Hari received his undergraduate degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University in India.
Vice President Global Sales
Tom Smith is Vice President, Global Sales, and brings to netElastic more than 25 years’ experience building and managing high performance sales teams.
Prior to joining netElastic, he served as Sales Vice President at GENBAND and also held senior sales leadership positions at Comverse Network Systems (Amdocs / Mavenir), Broadwing Communications (Level 3), Counterpath, and NorthPoint (AT&T). Tom’s experience includes early stage startups to publicly traded companies where he consistently drove revenue growth and mutually successful business development partnerships.
Tom began his career at MCI Communications and has an MBA from Bentley University in Boston and an undergraduate degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
